Approximately 150 health care leaders, clinicians, students, faculty, staff and other guests recently attended the Langston Center for Quality, Safety and Innovation’s annual symposium, “Patients and Practitioners: Partnering for Health,” at the Kontos Medical Sciences Building’s auditorium.
The Institute of Healthcare Improvement RVA Chapter hosted Ross Airington, M.P.A on August 21, 2017 who gave a presentation on “Trumpcare, Republicare, or Obamacare Lite? The American Health Care Act and the Uncertain Future of the ACA” to an audience of 20 students, faculty, staff and healthcare providers including 9 connecting virtually.
In June, the Langston Center welcomed it’s 3rd international visiting scholar, Stefanie Bachnick, from one of the Center’s collaborations at the Institute of Nursing Science, University of Basel. Bachnick met with various faculty, students and others connected to the Center to learn more about health care quality in the U.S., specifically patient-centered care.
